Cyclones hit D-days
The Doubledays fell to the Brooklyn Cyclones, 9-1, Thursday night with some issues on the mound and four costly errors.
Josh Wells suffered his third loss, giving up four runs in the second inning to put the Cyclones in an early lead. By the bottom of the second the Doubledays were down, 4-1.
Leading the Cyclones at the plate in the second inning was Jose Jimenez who led off with a single, Eric Campbell singled to right field, Cesar Cordido was walked, Kirk Nieuwenhuis belted an RBI single to bring in Jimenez, while Campbell and Seth Williams hit an RBI double to bring in Cordido and Nieuwenhuis to end the scoring rally.
