SYRACUSE -- Three Syracuse men's basketball players will appear before a university judicial hearing board to face charges they sexually assaulted a female student on two occasions last fall.
An Onondaga County grand jury decided two weeks ago not to criminally charge players Jonny Flynn, Antonio Jardine and Rick Jackson. But that decision has no bearing on Monday's hearing, where the students will appear before the board without lawyers to represent them.
Syracuse spokesman Kevin Morrow says panel members will decide whether the three sophomores-to-be violated the university's code of conduct.
Flynn, a guard from Niagara, who averaged 15.7 points per game last season and made the All-Big East Rookie team. Jardine and Jackson are reserves from Philadelphia
