SYRACUSE -- A 16-year-old is dead after being hit in what Syracuse police are calling an apparent drive-by shooting.
Police say the shooting happened around 11 p.m., and two others were wounded in the attack on Midland Avenue. The say both survivors were shot in the hand. None of the victims have been identified.

Separately, a 40-year-old woman died and a man was seriously injured in a double stabbing. They say the couple stabbed each other during a fight in an apartment complex parking lot at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Deputy police Chief Michael Kerwin says Angela Corria suffered multiple stab wounds, and the man, 43-year-old Oscar Cuesta, suffered a non life-threatening wound to his leg.
