A man already facing charges that he had sex with a teenage girl was arrested again Thursday and charged with rape after another victim came forward, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office.
Steven J. Frierson, 30, of 4181 Valentine Road, Niles, was charged July 25 with two counts of second-degree rape, second-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Owasco Town Court and released on $5,000 cash bail.
On Thursday, Frierson was charged with third-degree rape, arraigned in Brutus Town Court and released on a $20,000 bond.
Police said the first set of charges relate to crimes committed in June 2008 while the most recent charge goes back to May 2002. Police said the victims were a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl who were acquaintances of Frierson.
