The man wanted by Auburn police on burglary and several other felony charges turned himself in to Syracuse police early Friday.
Elmer P. Wilson III, 22, formerly of Port Byron, was arrested at 1 a.m. after he walked up to a Syracuse police officer's vehicle. He was later picked up by the Auburn Police Department, and processed in Auburn for a Friday morning arraignment.
APD had issued a bulletin earlier this week seeking the public's help in finding Wilson, who was considered dangerous.
His charges stem from incidents involving a former girlfriend, who had an order of protection against him, the APD said. Wilson is accused of burglarizing the victim's home and holding her against her will.
He is charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal contempt and first-degree unlawful imprisonment, all felonies, along with the misdemeanor of second-degree aggravated harassment.
