The back-to-school ads are coming fast and furious. Don't despair, there are still plenty of August days to enjoy. The Weedsport Free Library has a nice slate of entertainment continuing this month. Come enjoy these family friendly programs.
Campfire Story hour 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the library. Stories, games and snacks to be presented by members of the Jr. Friends of the Weedsport Free Library. For children of all ages.

Tom Knight Puppets and Summer Reading Finale, 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at the library.
For all ages, Tom's show is a vibrant collection of original songs and skits, each 3-5 minutes long, with variety enough to keep even the very youngest children waiting to see what will happen next.
The event is sponsored by Friends of the Weedsport Free Library. Snacks and prizes are provided by Weedsport Elementary School.
The Spoon Man, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Weedsport Gazebo. The last act of the 2008 gazebo series will be one you won't forget.
The Spoon Man, Jim Cruise, has been playing the spoons for nearly 32 years.
He is from Michigan, and his program contains several outrageous impressions such as Glen Miller and Elvis.
He has an audience sing-a-long competition. Visit www.SpoonMan.biz for a sneak peak. You could call him a musical comedian.
Gazebo events are sponsored by Village of Weedsport, Town of Brutus, Weedsport Chamber of Commerce, First Niagara Bank, Jr. Friends and Friends of the Weedsport Free Library. Rain location: Weedsport Free Library.
Reminder: The Jr. Friends will draw their raffle winners at the gazebo show Aug. 19.
Tickets are available at the library or from a Jr. Friend for $1 each or six for $5.
The proceeds from the raffle will help defray the cost of their trip to the National Book Festival in September.
Thank you for supporting the Jr. Friends group and good luck, we hope you win a prize. (There are 15 prizes, the first and second prizes are Walt Disney World “Two Park-Hopper” passes).
