AUBURN - A local man faces six months in the Cayuga County Jail with five years probation after he pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court to raping a 14-year-old girl and subjecting her to sexual contact on two separate occasions.
Corey Masson, 22, 561 Turnpike Road, Cayuga, was arrested in Auburn Jan. 30 and charged with third-degree criminal sex act.
The arrest came seven months after he was arrested for statutory rape in Aurelius on July 1, 2007. Both crimes are felonies.
Masson will also have to register as a sex offender after he is sentenced on Sept. 16.
Also in court:
An Auburn man pleaded not guilty to first-degree attempted rape and first-degree sex abuse, both felonies.
Eugene Quinn, 45, of 11 Burt Ave., Apt. 2, also pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of third-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Quinn is accused of ripping off a 30-year-old woman's clothes, hitting her, breaking her glasses and pouring shaving cream, mayonnaise and mustard onto her head before threatening to rape her.
Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann said Quinn had been previously convicted of sexual abuse, petite larceny, trespassing and driving under the influence, all misdemeanors.
A Port Byron man will have to register as a sex offender after he pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl.
Thomas Krebs, 26, of 9636 Stickles Lane, is also expected to receive a 1.5 to three-year prison sentence and pay $1,370 in fines for the statutory rape when he is sentenced on Sept. 16.
A Bronx man faces three years in prison after he pleaded guilty to smuggling heroin into the Auburn Correctional Facility.
Rakeem Douglas, 28, of 2455 Williams Bridge Road, Bronx, admitted he was attempting to sell the substance to an inmate when he brought it into the facility.
Douglas will also receive a period of post-release supervision when he is sentenced on Sept. 16.
An Auburn woman will be eligible to enroll into a drug treatment program after she was sentenced to two to four years in prison for felony grand larceny.
Shannon Terwilliger, 27, of 310 Clark St., Auburn, will receive the treatment because most of her crimes were drug related, or fueled by the need to obtain money to purchase drugs, Budelmann said.
Terwilliger was not ordered to pay restitution for the TV which she stole and sold for $200 because her codefendant, Daniel Lisano, 19, of 4 Morris St., Auburn, had already paid the victim back.
A local man pleaded not guilty to the charge of third-degree felony burglary, misdemeanor petit larceny, and conspiracy in the fifth-degree, a misdemeanor.
Adam S. Roof, 17, of 136 Osborne St., Auburn, is accused of breaking into a barn on Shearin Street, Owasco, to steal an arc welder, leaf blower, chain saw and other items.
