The Auburn 10- and 11-year-old All-Stars defeated Cortlandt 8-7 on Monday to advance to the state finals today in the Bronx.
Auburn plays Colonie at 5:30 p.m., a team it lost to earlier in the tournament. Auburn has to beat Colonie twice to claim the state title.
The All-Stars surrendered seven runs in the bottom of the first inning but shut down Cortlandt the rest of the game.
