Getting out and voting is not the answer to better government. Whoever gets voted in does what they want once elected. Need proof? One needs to look no further than the last two presidential elections and the recent election where Democrats took control of Congress. The voters thought Bush would be a breath of fresh air after Bill Clinton's indiscretions. Little did they know the air would be a trillion times worse.
What Bush campaigned on and what he's done on a scale of minus 100 to plus 100, gets a minus 100 rating. The Democrats who took over Congress and promised us better government but never delivered on a scale of minus 10 to plus 10 get a minus five rating. They've showed no backbone, acted wishy washy and proved they don't care to do what they said they'd do. So how does voting for any candidate solve the problem of the candidate elected not doing what was promised that he (she) got elected for? It doesn't.
Impeaching or terminating an elected representative not doing the will of the people after six months in office should become a law.
Enough of these elected representatives doing their will and not the people they are supposed to be representing. Just like others in society who aren't doing a good job and get fired for it, so should be the case for elected officials. George Bush was not elected to start an illegal, expensive, immoral war. He was not elected to help his special interests friends become zillionaires. He was not elected to do things his way over that of the people he's supposed to be representing. The same holds true for the Democrats who took control of Congress and for all interests and purposes have been sleeping on this job. Anyone elected in the future should do what they campaigned on within a reasonable amount of time or get what they deserve - getting canned.

Or are you too "chicken" to have your real name appear in print and let people judge how ignorant YOU might be?
Uh huh..... "

We all have complaints about one thing or another in our daily lives, but we have options to attempt to change them and make them better for us.
I agree our politicians are NOT doing whats best for the majority, our country, our state, our cities..and voting is the only option for them,
yet it amazes me someone like Ted
Kennedy, who is as crooked as can be, has been re-elected and in office since 1962. voters???
of course we cannot please ALL so someone will still complain! "
