Commuters to and from Syracuse may need to make some changes to their routes thanks to additional construction work.
The state Department of Transportation on Wednesday announced traffic pattern and ramp changes that will go into effect Friday morning as a result of resurfacing work on Interstate 690 eastbound.
Traffic will be shifted to the left lane on that highway from the Interstate 81 southbound ramp to the Teall Avenue exit. The McBride Street on-ramp will remain closed, and the ramp from I-81 northbound to I-690 eastbound will be closed.
The changes are expected to be in place through Aug. 20.
