Skaneateles' Keith Buehler finished with one assist as the Central team won the gold medal, 3-2 over Western in the Empire State Games scholastic men's ice hockey finals Sunday in Binghamton.
Auburn's Tommy Trowell and Zach Marginsky were also members of the Central team.
In scholastic women's basketball, Kelly Grinnell, of Auburn, scored two points as Central took home the silver medal after losing 69-62 to Hudson Valley.
The story was the same for the scholastic men's basketball team, losing 88-65 in the championship game to Western. Moravia's Pat Mott scored two points in the game.
In scholastic women's soccer, Central took the bronze medal with a 1-0 win over Long Island.
Auburn's Marissa Slayton is a member of the team.

In the Masters Division, Auburn's Robert Elkovich won the silver medal in the archery compound fingers final.
Auburn's Jim Genkos and David Sennett won gold in the marathon canoe tandem final 50-59 (1:35.09) and Auburn's Clay Tarver took home gold in the solo kayak 60-plus.
Moravia's Scott Stenberg won the silver medal in the solo kayak 50-59 (1:38.5).
