Austin Lee, of Jordan, took home a bronze medal in the New York State Empire Games in the Scholastic Division for wrestling (275 weight class) on Friday in Binghamton. Lee defeated Western's Alex Peffley (6-0, 6-0) to set up a medal round against Adirondack's Keith Domermurth. Lee then pinned Domermurth in a time of 0:47 to earn the bronze.
Auburn's Kelly Grinnell chipped in two points in Central's 70-61 win over Western in a girls basketball game.
Skaneateles' Keith Buehler scored a goal and added an assist in Central's 4-0 win against Adirondack in scholastic ice hockey. Auburn's Zach Marginsky and Thomas Trowell are also on the team. Buehler has two goals and two assists in the Games.
Joey Robinson, of Skaneateles, defeated New York City in tennis action with a 5-0 win. Robinson and his doubles partner won by scores of 6-2, 7-5.
Marissa Slayton, of Auburn, contributed in Central's 6-1 win over New York City in girls soccer while Kaitlyn Aldrich and Madelaine Morrissey, both part of the Central girls lacrosse team, defeated Adirondack 9-6.
Auburn's Claire Minnoe defeated Western's Taylor Cole 6-3, 6-3 in girls tennis action.
Moravia's Jennifer Cornwell took fourth in the finals of the track and field shot put with a throw of 11.04 meters.
Tim Davis earned first place in the second flight for the canoe and kayak K-1 200m with a time of 1:11.02.
Auburn's Michael Capocefalo finished 13th in the cycling road race(2:04.04).
