ELBRIDGE -- State police have charged an Elbridge man with first-degree murder in connection with the discovery of a body Tuesday afternoon outside his residence in the town of Elbridge.

Joseph M. Bisesi III, 27, of 5879 Sandbank Road, was arraigned late Tuesday night in the Town of Elbridge Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center, without bail.

State police said they are still investigating the identity of the body discovered outside the residence. Forensic investigators were still at the scene as of midnight.

State police are planning to hold a press conference about the case at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, state police were only confirming that they were investigating the suspicious death of an adult male whose body was found in the side yard of the home.

The home is owned by Bisesi's parents, Joseph M. Bisesi and Jo Ellen Bisesi, who are unaccounted for. Earlier in the day, police said Joseph M. Bisesi III was cooperating with the investigation.

The state police's Elbridge station received a phone call from one of the Bisesi's relatives who came to visit the home at 1 p.m., Raub said.

The home was located in a quiet rural area, where the houses were separated by large trees and foliage, about two miles down the road from the Elbridge state police station off of Route 5.

Troopers quickly responded and set up road blocks, and taped off the area while they conducted the investigation. The crime scene engulfed a 100- yard radius around the house including one of the next door neighbor's yards.
