Not sure why no one has covered the local hard-working individuals that have qualified for the U.S. Olympic team. Two runners with central New York ties are on their way to compete for their dreams. We want to wish them the best of luck in the Olympics!

Of course the city should remove the cap on the gas tax! Local property taxes are a closed system. $300,000 in revenue for the city is $300,000 it will not have to look for in property taxes. The county should do this, as well. Please note that the Auburn schools have no such option!

In South Africa they have coal gasification plants. They can produce a barrel of oil from coal for $25.
