COOPERSTOWN -- Major League Baseball has agreed to meet with the founder of a Web site devoted to saving the Hall of Fame Game.
SaveTheFameGame.com founder Kristian Connolly says he'll meet with Major League Baseball president Bob Dupuy and Hall of Fame president Jeff Idelson on Saturday morning at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Connolly, a Cooperstown native, sent Commissioner Bud Selig three separate letters asking for an open discussion about options for what had been the last remaining exhibition game on the major league schedule, which was eliminated after this year because of scheduling problems.
A call to Major League Baseball seeking comment was not immediately returned.
