Cubs edge Mets; Marlins' Cook has four hits

Baylee Kennedy led the Cubs to a 15-13 win over the Mets in Boys and Girls League baseball action Saturday. Kennedy picked up an RBI double in the win, while Jacob Roy also had a double.
Nat Wharo sparked the Cubs with three hits, while Austin Black, Kayla Mallory, Nat Serling and Eric Kennedy all had two hits apiece. Sarah Costello roped a triple as did Noah Reilly. Claire Schiener also had a hit. Alex Blodgett, Greg Walsh, Koby Klien, Ryan Bochenek and Nat Serling led the defense.

Sidney Alberici and Kellen Fedigan led the Mets with three hits each, while Noah Decker finished with a multi-hit game. Mike Morrissey led the defense for the Mets.

Kaleb Cook had four hits, including two triples, a home run and scored four runs. Sarah Russo joined Cook with four hits and scored three times. Daniel Russo had three hits and a run, while Kailee Brooks also scored a run along with two hits. Justin Kopec scored three times off three hits. Ryan Fedigan led the Marlins defense.

Jason Baranick and Joe LaPorta led the Cardinals offense with four hits each, while Baranick scored three runs and LaPorta scored twice. Zach Iverson, Grace Baranick, Nick Indelicato, Carter Bashta, Jeff Zink and Quinn Hukee had three hits each.

Iverson and Grace Baranick both scored three runs and had extra-base hits. Indelicato and Bashta scored a run, while Hukee scored two. Zink had three hits including a triple. Bobby Faynor had a multi-hit game and scored a run. Dori Masters, Trey Masters, Nicole Powers, Kyle Baldwin and Emily Iverson led the defense.

The Printery Brewers 17, Reflections Dermatology Red Sox 14

Ryan Treat and Jacob Sanders carried the Brewers with three home runs each. Max Bergan, Nathan Heyde, Jakob Borza, Hannah Kala Banka, Emily Harding, Liv Morgan and Megan Heyde all tallied three hits. Nick Heyde, Olivia Maassen and Tyler Cook made key plays and throws in the field for the Brewers.

Ben O'Hearn, Jimmy Bennink, Josh Page, Makay Titus and Issac Colella led the offense for the Red Sox. Connor Davia and Pat Mahunik led the defense.

Daddabbos Indians 21, Finger Lakes Rangers 14

Gio Pettigrass had three hits along with a home run to lead the Indians. Andrew Boglione, Josh Kowaleski, Matt Reed and Cooper Wilson led the team with four hits each. Belle Amoia and Jane Podfigueny finished with three hits apiece. Zach Saurini, Allie Wilmot, Jake Wawrazsek and Marissa Coff led the defense.

Jimmy McKeen and Brandon McKeen led the Rangers offense with four hits each. Zach Wlad, Noah Marr and Rachel Tarby added offensive help.

New Beginning Home Care Pirates 20, Gaston-Moore Photography Twins 17

Chris Rusin, Emily Klock, Ricky Currier and Brian Chadwick paced the Pirates offense. Rachel Simmonds and Jake Hansen made key defensive plays.

Julian Martinez, Sal Rizzo and Austin Martinez were the Twins leaders at the plate. R.J. Szakalski made a few key defensive plays in the field.

Auburn Police Department Yankees 21, Vision Care Associates Athletics 19

Mike Riordan sparked the Yankees offense with five hits. Mackenzie Wise, Jilianne Ervolina and Jacob Cummings helped out with four hits apiece. Luke Viggiano, Josh Steinbacher and Nick Pipher led the defense.

Mitch Hulik led the Athletics offense with four hits. Nate Bellnier and Luke Lukowski smacked three hits each. Meg Gionatta and Kate Diffin played well defensively.

BABE RUTH

Giuseppes 12, Auburn Correctional Facility 2

Nick Price tossed a gem as he went the distance, allowing two runs on six hits. He also had two hits at the plate.

Tim Daniels had three hits, including a triple. Matt Patterson, Jim Spinelli and Zach LaDouce joined Price with two hits. Justin Davis, Zach Cousineau and Andrew Sanders also helped out the offense, which tallied 14 total hits.

Nick Herlihy led ACF with a double and a hit. Jacob Jackson, Jamie Terry, Chris Watros and Dana Scarsalgita each had hits. Terry, Nick Calarco and Luke Dranczak combined to strike out seven.
