Sennett has track record of being unfair to businesses

Saturday, July 19, 2008 11:57 PM EDT

OK Sennett, what is your problem? You have a building that is an asset to your town and you are doing everything in your power to destroy the owners.
This is not the first time you have done this. A few years ago you forced a family out of business that was selling lawn furniture and gazebos on their property.

The furniture was beautiful, well made and presented in a neat way. They didn't bother anybody, but the Sennett board drove them out of business.

Maybe Bonca's opened without a permit, but you forced them to do it. If they get arrested, there are a lot of people who will bail them out. Why doesn't the Sennett board get a life and let this business open? I repeat, what is your problem?

Highland Park Golf Course is getting a run-around too. Brides were left without a reception hall, the senior class didn't have a dinner dance and all because the Sennett board is holding up the rebuilding of the clubhouse. Why?

Maybe you should get rid of Mr. Weiman.

" Yes, I went to Bonca's Sunday evening for ice cream, and it's a beautiful place. They have something to be proud of. If the town continues to harass them, they should be run out on a rail!! It's no wonder that businesses don't want to come to NY, if they have to deal with town boards like this. "

" It is shameful that Mr. Rigby, a failed local politician, views himself as being above the law. He should realize you only get that disticntion if you win the election. "

" Anonymoose, you need to stop trying to be the playground bully. You want anyone you disagree with to get out of the dicussion and your threats are disturbing and you are taking this forum too personally. Were you the bully in school or were the one that was bullied and now you are trying to compensate for your weakness. Anyone has a right to post a comment and you are not the "two cents" police. "

" I remember seeing the lawn furniture and gazebos ---they were beautiful.
It was a shame the town made them close--especially after they had been there for years!
The town officials NEED TO BE REMOVED--
when is the next vote for that? "
