The Auburn Doubledays have finally busted out of their slump.
Adam Amar belted a two-run double, and Jon Del Campo brought in another two runs on his first home run of the season in a big 5-0 win over Aberdeen on Friday. Auburn pulled in 10 hits overall and scored four of its runs in the final two innings.

The win halted a five-game skid by the Doubledays, who remain four games behind first-place Jamestown in the Pinckney Division.

Joel Carreno pitched six impressive innings, throwing eight strikeouts and allowing just two hits. He advanced his record to 3-1 as the IronBirds were able to earn just four hits overall - one off Bobby Bell and another off Matt Daly.

Offensively, the five Auburn runs equaled the team's total over the last three games. Michael McDade broke out with a 3-for-4 performance after getting just one hit in his previous two games. Chris House, Amar and Del Campo each had two hits - Campo's first was a triple. House brought in Del Campo in the fifth inning on a ground out. Patrick Egan suffered the loss for Aberdeen, dropping his record to 0-3.
