I want to thank all of the families and volunteers that came out to support our first annual family fun day in honor of my two children, Kaylei and Braeden, who spent most of their young lives at University Hospital.

The day started at 9 a.m. with runners leaving Cayuga Community College and stopped at mile 13 at Marcellus Park to meet families. Families were treated to balloon animals, gifts and a magician. Many other organizations, like Luckeysmiles.org and University Hospital officials were on hand for support. The event kept going on and runners then left Marcellus to run 13 more miles to University Hospital for a 26.2 mile journey all together.

All proceeds went to building the new Golisano's Children's Hospital. This is just another journey that starts right here in Auburn and touches lives all around. People came from as far as Binghamton Central Square and Rome to support the cause.
