The Cayuga County Health Department has lifted the boil water order that had been in place since Tuesday night for users in the town of Throop Water District No. 1.
Residents can resume using tap water as normal. The order removal comes as a result of two days of satisfactory water system tests for bacteria.

The order was put in as a precautionary measure following a water line break.

For more information, call the own of Throop at 252-7373 or the Cayuga County Health Department at 253-1405.
