ATV stolen from golf course, crashed into tree
Cayuga County Sheriff's Office officials are seeking information related to an incident in which they say an all-terrain vehicle was stolen and damaged from a local golf course.
According to the sheriff's office, someone forcefully entered a garage Thursday night at the Owasco Country Club on Route 38A. Investigators say the person or persons took a Toro Truckster ATV with a dumpbox, drove it around the golf course before crossing Oakridge Road onto the Lakeview Country Club golf course.
The AVT then struck a tree and was severely damaged, and investigators believe the perpetrators may have been injured in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
