The Cayuga Lake Watershed Intermunicipal Organization and The Cayuga Lake Watershed Network are accepting nominations for the 2008 David Morehouse award until Aug. 9.
This annual award commemorates Morehouse's contributions to protect Cayuga Lake and recognizes others who are protecting water resources.
This award will be presented at Lakefest, the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network's annual meeting, on Aug. 23, at the Goose Watch Winery in Seneca County.
Nominations should address the following in no more than two pages:
€ Demonstration of a five-year minimum commitment to the watershed
€ Taking an active role in restoration and protection of the water resources within the Cayuga Lake watershed.
€ Having provided leadership in an endeavor that has a lasting effect.
It is not necessary for the nominee to live in the watershed. Nominations are open to individuals, groups and businesses.
