First-round draft pick David Cooper stayed hot, picking up two hits and two RBIs as the Auburn Doubledays won its second straight game, 5-2, against Oneonta Friday.
The Doubledays picked up four runs in the second inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead.

With two outs, the Doubledays' Chris Hopkins and Chris Demons were walked back to back.

Bartolo Nicolas brought Hopkins in on a single and advanced to second on a throw home. Cooper then picked up his two RBIs on his ninth double of the year. Adam Amar finished the scoring off when he doubled in Cooper. The Doubledays rounded out their scoring in the fifth when Amar led off the inning with a double and later scored on a sac fly by Carlos Vasquez.

The Doubledays finished the day with 10 hits, but did commit two errors in the field.

Auburn (12-6) carries a two-game winning streak back to Auburn to host last year's New York Penn-League runner up, Staten Island.
