The red-hot Auburn Doubledays scored two runs in the eighth, one run in the ninth and two runs in the 11th to overcome a three-run deficit and defeat Mahoning Valley 6-4 Monday.
The win is the Doubledays (10-4) fourth in a row.
Trailing 3-1, Auburn catcher Joel Collins led off the eighth with a solo home run. Bartolo Nicolas scored on an Adam Amar single later in the inning to tie the game 3-3.
The Doubledays took the lead an inning later on a Collins double.
But it wouldn't last, as Auburn reliever Joel Carreno couldn't close out the game. The Scrappers' Robert Alcombrack singled in the tying run in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings.
After a scoreless 10th, the Doubledays, who racked up 14 hits on the night, took a 6-4 lead on a Carlos Vasquez RBI single and a Collins sacrifice fly.
Matthew Daley pitched a perfect bottom of the 11th for the save.
Collins finished with two hits and three RBIs, while Cooper, Nicolas, Amar, Bryan Kervin and Leance Soto also had two hits each.
Marcus Walden pitched the first 4 2-3 innings for the Doubledays, allowing two earned runs and seven hits. Carreno finished with six strikeouts.
