The man reported missing from the Skaneateles area has contacted his family and is doing fine, state police said Thursday afternoon.
Michael J. Murray, 46, of Skaneateles called from a pay phone in New Jersey.
Authorities had been searching for him after his boat was found idling late Wednesday night in the Skaneateles Country Club marina. The boat was found unoccupied at 10 p.m. He was last seen a couple of hours earlier operating the boat.
The Skaneateles Fire Department Dive team conducted an overnight search. A ground search also took place.
Murray's vehicle, a green 2005 Toyota Corolla, was also missing, state police said.
