George Bush had the gaul to require a lot of this with no child left behind and he didn't provide a penny of finanacial help to administer the program. So hold the blame on the unions. Also unions will make their demands but the administration of the schools gave in to these demands. Stand firm when the union wants outlandish demands. Let them strike and replace them if you have to. "

They will cut education & extra-curricular activities before they cut administration. Nearly every person on Thornton Ave. needs an assistant and each of them need a clerk. Running a school district is like running a business in the private sector. Some are going to lose jobs, those who remain are going to have to take on more responsibility. They are going to HAVE to pay more into benefits, accept smaller (if any) pay raises. They need to look at what is at the top and leave education and programs alone. "
