AUBURN - An Auburn man pleaded guilty in Cayuga County Court Tuesday to promoting child pornography via e-mail.
Eric Brown, 21, of 33 N. Division St., Auburn, admitted that on Jan. 3 he knowingly disseminated a video of a teenager engaged in sexual acts with an adult.
Brown is expected to receive six months in the Cayuga County Jail with 10 years post release supervision when he is sentenced on July 29.
Brown will also have to register as a sex offender.
Also in court:
A local man pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen 50 inch plasma screen TV worth more than $1,000 and to burglarizing Infinite Audio in Auburn.
Frank Walters, 28, of 22 Franklin St., Auburn, is expected to receive two to four years in prison when he is sentenced on July 29 in addition to paying $3,800 in restitution.
Walters also admitted he had to pay $772 in restitution for burglarizing an apartment in May 2000.
An Auburn man pleaded guilty to criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Gary Bell, 53, of 1 Madison Ave., Apartment 1, Auburn, admitted he had 19 ounces of marijuana and more than 90 pills of Oxycontin in his home when he was arrested on Nov. 25.
Bell may receive shock probation and forfeit $1,551 in confiscated money when he is sentenced on July 29.
A local man pleaded guilty to selling cocaine to a confidential informant on Feb. 2, 2007.
Duane Smith, 46, of 44 Fitch Ave., Auburn, said he gave the drugs to the informant after they walked up and offered him $50 for drugs.
Smith had previously been convicted of selling cocaine on Feb. 8, 2001.
Smith is expected to receive a 3.5-year prison term when he is sentenced on July 29.
An Auburn man pleaded guilty to possessing more than 5 grams of cocaine when he was stopped by Auburn police on Sept. 6, 2007.
Duane Whitaker Jr., 19, of 7 Delevan St., Auburn, admitted that he threw the bag of cocaine into nearby bushes when a squad car passed him as he walked home.
Whitaker said the police found the bag of drugs after searching the area.
Whitaker is expected to receive shock probation and may be granted youthful offender status when he is sentenced on July 29.
Evan Forest, 29, of 1089 Village Circle St., Ithaca, was sentenced to two years in prison and 1.5 years post release supervision for the criminal sale of cocaine.
