Motorists will need to take a detour to get from Interstate 81 northbound to Interstate 690 westbound starting Saturday, the state Department of Transportation announced.
Resurfacing work will force the closure of the I-81 exit only lane and ramp to I-690. The DOT expects to start the work at 7 a.m. and last around the clock through July 3.
If bad weather delays the start of the project, the exit closure will begin Monday.
Motorists on I-81 will be directed to continue to Exit 22 (Court Street). They will then go straight onto Sunset Avenue, then left onto West Bear Street, which goes to I-690 west.
