  • Auburn school board doing very poor job
    I am outraged for being classified as “confused” for voting against the Auburn Enlarged City School District budget. When spending is out of control, there is no other option.

  • Auburn board failing students, taxpayers
    Outside of New York City, 62 percent of property taxes are school property taxes. In terms of tax rate, nine of the top 10 counties highest taxed counties in the nation are in Upstate New York. They are Wayne, Niagara, Monroe, Erie, Chautauqua, Onondaga, Cayuga, Chemung and Schenectady counties.

  • Lonsky doesn't have all the answers
    In response to the recent article submitted by Southern Cayuga Central School Board member elect Joe Lonsky, I have a few comments and observations. To begin, I would like to say that your presence was missed at last Monday night's meeting. It would have been a great learning experience for you to see how many taxpayers don't share in your philosophy.

  • Auburn's problems will never get fixed
    The city of Auburn should start sending a gas card or coupon to all drivers in the city that live and pay taxes in the city due to the fact that you have to stop at a traffic light that's red every five seconds.
