Fasce leads Tom Thumb in win over Angelo's

Tom Thumb beat Angelo's, 12-8 Wednesday.
Skip Fasce pitched just over five innings and combined with Austin Martinez and Nick Mitchell to pitch a three-hitter, recording 10 strikeouts to earn the win.

At the plate, Nick Mitchell, Sean McCole and Fasce each added two hits while Billy Farrington contributed a triple.

Defensively for Tom Thumb, Austin Quinn and A.J. Roe performed well.

On the mound for Angelo's was T.J. Sochian, Trent Valentino and Mike Carberry.

PONY LEAGUE

Weaver Machine and Tool 7, Dunkin Donuts 0

Tossing a no-hitter, shut out was Stephen Bennett who also added 10 strikeouts for Weaver Machine and Tool.

Leading at the plate, was Paul Clark with three hits and four RBIs while Austin Pitcher, Matt Mcglire and Alex Burgmaster each contributed two hits.

On the mound for Dunkin Donuts was Tyler Smith and Anthony Alberici with the defense turning a triple play in the fourth inning.

Auburn Fire Fighters 7, Nucor 0

Benny Pinchak and Anthony Miccuci combined their efforts on the mound for a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead Auburn Fire Fighters.

Pinchak pitched four innings allowing the two hits and throwing seven strikeouts. Miccuci threw for two innings with no hits allowed and four strikeouts added, at the plate he belted a home run.

Also leading at the plate was Anthony Torres with two singles, PInchak and Alex Fallon each earned a double and Mike Pidlypchak finished with a single.

Cohle Dragone played well on defense for Auburn Fire Fighters.

For Nucor Tyler Daddabbo and Aly Nicolosi together had 10 strikeouts while allowing six hits in five innings.

At the plate Nicolosi contributed a double and Adam Lupo had a single.

Auburn Fire Fighters 10, Kiwanis 6

Combining their efforts for the victory on the mound for the Fire Fighters was Anthony Torres, Anthony Miccuci and Austin Duger who threw a two-hitter with eight strikeouts.

Duger, Torres and Benny Pinchak each added one hit to lead at the plate. And defensively Griffin Dunn and Mike Pidlypchak played well.

Pacing Kiwanis was Mike O'Hearn who had a double and pitched the game while Jack Farrington finished with a single.

LITTLE LEAGUE

Nucor 9, Tinker's 2

Pitching for Nucor was Cody Ladisair and Justin Valentino.

At the plate for Nucor Jeff Gardner had a three-run homer, a triple and a double, Jack Hensel and Valentino both hit triples, John Rizzo went 3-for-4 with a triple and Ladisair also went 3-for-4.

Leading Nucor's defense was Matt Jordan and Aric Iaia.

Pacing Tinker's was Matt Brooks who recorded a triple, Paul Musso added a double, Tommy Alexander and Ryan Dailey both went 2-for-3 with Kevin Talbot and Charlie Elser backing them up on defense. Taking the loss on the mound was Brooks, Musso and Dailey.

Casler Masonry 7, Stanton's 1

On the mound for Casler Masonry was Jake Cooney who allowed three hits and Mike Kick allowing one.

Leading offensively was Conor Herr going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and an RBI while Mitch Hogan, Mike Foltz, Noah Christiantelli and Cooney each finished with one hit.

Colin Mitchell and Cody Mitchell combined efforts on the mound for Stanton's, Cody Mitchell had seven strikeouts and Colin Mitchell threw four strikeouts.

Pacing Stanton's at the plate was Malcomb Kellog with two hits, Eric Gatewood added one hit and Colin Mitchell recorded a triple.

ACF 15, APD 0

Zach Siracusa, Matt Faiola and Jack Burgmaster combined on a no-hitter to lead ACF. Mike Gentile hit a three-run homer while Mike Schmid, Nate Evangelista and Nick McQueeney had two hits apiece. Defensively for APD Pat DeLuca and Tyler Schmid contributed notable performances.

American Legion

S-K Post 7, Auburn II 5

Jeff Donofrio led the way with three hits and Ryan Gleason and Bob Buckley combined to limit Auburn II to five hits as S-K Post American Legion baseball opened its season with a 7-5 victory Thursday.

Also at the plate for S-K Post, was Chris Gomez who added two hits at the plate while Ryan LaRue, Eric Conway and Zach Frost chipped in with key hits.

Pacing the Auburn II team was Noah Donch with a double while Brett Pitcher and Anthony Siracusa pitched well on the mound.
