Skaneateles claims another crown
SYRACUSE - Now, it's the boys' turn.
Three days after the Skaneateles girls lacrosse team claimed its sixth straight Section III, Class C title, the Laker boys followed suit for the school's first-ever double lacrosse championships.
It might not have been as dramatic as the girls' win, but it was certainly as impressive as the Lakers trailed for about 1:30 all game, tearing off seven goals in the third quarter en route to an 11-7 win to earn their own sectional championship over Christian Brothers Academy at Coyne Field in Syracuse on Wednesday.
