Tell me, has anyone seen goodmorningcayuga.com yet? "

The Citizen has tighter editorial control over which bits of Two Cents get published in the paper, so there is no reason for them to be afraid of lawsuits -- they just have to not pick bits to publish which could be trouble.
There really is no good reason to keep Two Cents out of the print edition of the newspaper. "

On different sections of the site, you may see some new content appearing in the form of TV listings.
In the Local News section, we have a listing called "What to Watch" that highlights a few shows from each night of the upcoming week.
In the Opinion and Go sections, you will see the "Prime Time" listing, which gives you the after-8pm listings from the major networks.
In the Lake Life section, you can find the "Family Grid", which is a listing of the "Family-Friendly" channels and what is on them tonight.
And finally, in the Sports sections, we have two separate grids. The "Sports Grid" highlights any sports-related content on TV tonight. The "ML Baseball" grid shows you upcoming Major-League Baseball games, time and channel. Yes, you can select your favorite team and see only their games.
Let me know what you think of this new content. "

Glad to hear you are working on the "More Two Cents" button.
Keep pressing for the return of Two Cents in print -- a lot of people miss it. "

I'm back.
Sorry for the Hiatus. In the second half of June, I was very very busy around here with a few new projects that you will find out about in due time. The first and second week of July saw me taking a lot of time off; my wife and I had our first child born on July 3rd.
And of course now I am playing catch-up with all that work and new projects.
So, to answer your queued-up questions:
A "Previous Two Cents" button is actually something I had thought up a while ago, and actually started working on, but other things took priority. Perhaps I will have to revisit that idea I seem to remember it was almost done.
Our movie listing come from a source who does not include the drive-in, for whatever reason. Soon we will be going to another provider for movie listings. The new provider includes the listings for the Finger Lakes Drive-in, we've already checked.
As far as I know, there are no plans for bringing Two Cents back to print. "

If you have general comments, take them to the Two Cents page -- you'll get all the discussion you can handle!
Otherwise, a good place to post relevant comments is at the bottom of any article.
For example, at the bottom of the article/letter from the woman about her developmentally disabled son and how he was getting sent off to war, you will find a comment box exactly like the one here where you can post comments about that article.
Try the search feature if you started in the print newspaper and are looking for the right place to post your comments online -- try some keywords to see if you can find the appropriate article for your comments.
If you are concerned your comments will be overlooked, go to Two Cents -- people there always have something to say.
The Citizen won't censor/fail to post your words if they are in the "wrong" (i.e. inappropriate) place, but you'll find your comments will be more effective in reaching people interested in the same topic if you post them with the relevant article.
Good luck! "

Looks like this is the place for site changes, features etc. Thanks! "

(BTW, the comment about the misplaced posts was directed towards the misdirected posters, not the editors -- I should have put that comment in a separate post!)
Cheers and have a safe and happy holiday. "

As far as posts that seem out of place, we approve where people post them and don't think it would be a good idea for us to start moving them to the place where we think they'd best fit. That judgment is up to the poster. "
Farmer's Gal wrote on Jul 3, 2008 10:13 AM:
Meanwhile, what's really weird is that SOMEONE has to be reading these comments before posting them, so SOMEONE sees that people are asking where's Rich and when is he going to respond, but there's been no response from the paper addressing our concerns at all. (It'd be different if it were all automated and no human at the newspaper had read this before posting it).
Hey, Citizen-employee-paid-to-review-our-posts -- I'm talking to you! Can you ask your boss to let the readers know what's going on with the webitor? Thanks! "

Even if it just launched a search on "Two Cents," that would be both more logical and more helpful to the readers.
Can it be done? "

We get our movie show times from a national supplier automatically. I will have to look and see why the drive-in isn't in there. "
