Southern Cayuga school board approves budget; voters to have final say
POPLAR RIDGE -- After several meetings and banking numerous hours, the Southern Cayuga Central School District Board of Education has put forth a new 2008-09 proposed school budget.
The board on Monday unanimously adopted a proposed operating budget of $16,373,330, an increase of 2.9 percent over last year, which carries an estimated 6.8 percent increase to the tax levy.
Taxpayers will vote on this budget June 17.
