Justin Stanton homered and drove in three in a 2-for-4 day but it wasn't enough as the Moravia baseball team lost 17-4 to Thomas A. Edison in the Section IV, quarterfinals in Elmira Saturday.
Stanton also got the start, scattering 12 hits and allowing five earned runs in 5 1-3 innings. He finished with six strikeouts.
A.J. Rouse also had a solo home run as the Blue Devils finished with a total of six hits against Division I prospect Alex Brown.
“He was the difference in the game,” Blue Devils coach Rich Valentino said of Brown.
Moravia finishes the season 13-12.

Section III, Class C-2 Championships
Weedsport, second place
The Warriors (145 points) won 4x400 relay with the help of Craig Mietz, Zach Brown, Ethan Gillette and Jimmy Bos.
Mietz took sixth in the 100m and third in the 200m.
Jordan Petrocci took first place in the pentathalon and Collin Dullabough finished first in the discus. Jake Ekross came in third place in the discus and shot put.
Oliver Jordan finished second in the shot put and third in the discus.
Zach Nevidomsky took second in the high jump and third in the triple jump. Jimmy Bos took second in the 400m, fourth in the high jump and fifth in the 800m.
Andrew Smith, Brown, Justin Spencer and Zach Field placed second in the 4x800m relay.
Dominic Galletta finished third in the pole vault. Mike Greer placed fourth in the 3000m steeplechase and fifth in the 1600m.
Jesse Schooley, Gillette, Mietz and Tim Roden took second in the 4x100m relay. In the 3200m, Logan Thompson finished third and Greer ended up in fourth.
