How stupid to ask why McClellan didn't voice all his concerns to the Bushies! They would have forced him to fall on the same sword as Rumsfeld, Powell and all the rest -- duh!
Ever notice that since the Dems took over last election, the economy has tanked. Think about that this November.
The weather reporting on all channels is so terrible because they announce part and then go into news, then back with a small report. Why don't they have captions -- it's shameful.
The arrogance of these Harper Valley PTA phonies on the school board to want to put an ethics policy in to cover future members -- it's too bad that it's fixed so that no good people can run for that school board anymore.

what's going to happen when his face is on every TV station for what He's NOT doing as Pres. as he promised? Or a prime minister of another country doesn't like him? Or Bin laden says he's not following the Koran?
Quit the USA?

Obama was a duck when I heard him talk for the first time.
As I have stated before:
everyone in our lives has shaped us to who we are.
In our adult lives, We share quality time with those like us. We spend our most precious moments such as marriage/baptisms with those LIKE US!
Obama can denounce/quit but it is all lies. If he does win, within 6 months there will be pics of him and Wright enjoying lunch together, while secretly doing the chicken dance in the oval room!
But for the voters, it will be too late! "

Edwards was my candidate of choice at the beginning of primary season, and I would be very glad to see him as a vice presidential running mate.
I also heard Obama addressing a crowd out in South Dakota -- he is awfully good. You have to remind yourself that although he would end the war in Iraq, he's still in favor of continuing it in Afghanistan, that he has ridiculous ideas about illegal immigrants (legal immigrants are not the issue) and that you can never trust any politician who makes it that far.
Meanwhile, I think the whole pastor thing is a tempest in a teapot -- both Obama and McCain have ties to pastors and churches where intolerant and bigoted things have been said, and Hillary has ties not only to all kinds of past corruptions, but she's in the back pocket of the pharmaceutical industry, which is just intolerable in someone claiming to offer clean sweep health care reform.
I saw one Harley this weekend, one of the exceptionally loud and obnoxious ones - driven by that former apartment manager who shot the other tenant's cat. Grey hair -- yes, and not a good advertisement for the make. "

Your post concerning Obama and his Church is, IMO, almost indecipherable. YOu obviously think you have some great point, but to be sure, I'm nearly certain that it eludes everyone here, as it has I.
YOu "prove" nothing, except that you seem to be intent on repeating something enough times to convince YOURSELF of whatever it is that you imagine.
I couldn't care less what these demented, egomaniacal attention-hungry pastors think or say about ANYTHING--except if it entails crossing the line about Church electioneering, and frankly, I'm baffled why anyone would be stupid enough to.
Let's face it--if this is your sides' "case" against Obama, you better just start saying "President Obama" right now so that you can get used to it.
Hey, how about McCain again getting the troop levels wrong? What's the sound that a senile old man makes?
And for the record, I don't care if Barack is a duck, or any other type of waterfowl. As long as he's not a war-mongering Republican. "

I've definitely never understood the "thrill-seeker" mentality either. Stability and reliability mean a lot more to me.
Luxury isn't something I tend to seek out either -- reasonable comfort with high performance, economy and durability so I can put my money into things which interest me more are more my style. I like aesthetics and a touch of class, which does not include motorcycles which made their way to fame with bikes designed to be particularly loud and obnoxious and ridden (in the stereotype) by leather-clad biker-types.
Sure, if I had unlimited boodles of money, I might look into something in a luxury class in cars, IF it could get better (since I'd be paying more, I'd expect more) fuel economy (or run on electricity or water with the same performance), performance and durability, but with just a certain amount of disposable income (more than I ever had before in my life), I am more picky concerning how I spend it.
A chacun son gout (to each his/her own). "

I enjoy a good debate but right now it's just a lot of name calling going on. It's funny to watch the different sides developing, the mother mother hen protecting her chicks. There a re many of us out here who enjoy reading all sections of the citizen but chose to only chime in when there is adult conversations taking place. sonofmaddog -- I'd have to agree. The name-calling is a pointless waste of time. If you know you disagree with someone and you know you will never change the other person's mind, it's time to stop wasting time and energy on that person and put your energy towards something more productive. If The Citizen enforced their own policy (as stated below) of not allowing personal attacks or insults, this forum would be much higher quality. There are some sharp minds here and some good discussions mixed in with the occasionally walloping dose of Dreck.
[Moravia didn't work out -- pity, it was a terrific location and setting, esp. since the garbage trucks don't go through there after all. Now close to a solid deal on Genoa -- not as spiffy a town as Moravia, but the house is much better. I just don't know if I can see myself as a regular at the Genoa Hotel, LOL!] "

As for the Corolla, you'd be hard pressed to find another vehicle in its class that gets the mileage it does. Top that off with extremely high reliability especially considering the price. I could buy a Mercedes if I wanted to, but why would I want to triple or quadruple what I spend on getting around? Like I said, you can waste your money to impress others and yourself if you so choose. It just makes no sense to me. "

Well-spoken about "finishing what we started"--I agree; it takes more of a man to say "That's it; I'm done. This was a mistake, and I admit it, and too many people are being hurt/killed because of my pride"
Unfortunately, I don't believe that there's a man among the criminals in Washington who has the character to make such a decision. They're completely without principles or morals! "
