How stupid to ask why McClellan didn't voice all his concerns to the Bushies! They would have forced him to fall on the same sword as Rumsfeld, Powell and all the rest -- duh!

Ever notice that since the Dems took over last election, the economy has tanked. Think about that this November.

The weather reporting on all channels is so terrible because they announce part and then go into news, then back with a small report. Why don't they have captions -- it's shameful.

The arrogance of these Harper Valley PTA phonies on the school board to want to put an ethics policy in to cover future members -- it's too bad that it's fixed so that no good people can run for that school board anymore.

" No one knows if Hillary has the most popular votes or not, since no one has figures for popular votes in states where they have caucuses. I'd rather see Presidents elected by popular vote, myself, but at this point, we don't know what they would be.

Edwards was my candidate of choice at the beginning of primary season, and I would be very glad to see him as a vice presidential running mate.

I also heard Obama addressing a crowd out in South Dakota -- he is awfully good. You have to remind yourself that although he would end the war in Iraq, he's still in favor of continuing it in Afghanistan, that he has ridiculous ideas about illegal immigrants (legal immigrants are not the issue) and that you can never trust any politician who makes it that far.

Meanwhile, I think the whole pastor thing is a tempest in a teapot -- both Obama and McCain have ties to pastors and churches where intolerant and bigoted things have been said, and Hillary has ties not only to all kinds of past corruptions, but she's in the back pocket of the pharmaceutical industry, which is just intolerable in someone claiming to offer clean sweep health care reform.

I saw one Harley this weekend, one of the exceptionally loud and obnoxious ones - driven by that former apartment manager who shot the other tenant's cat. Grey hair -- yes, and not a good advertisement for the make. "

Your post concerning Obama and his Church is, IMO, almost indecipherable. YOu obviously think you have some great point, but to be sure, I'm nearly certain that it eludes everyone here, as it has I.
YOu "prove" nothing, except that you seem to be intent on repeating something enough times to convince YOURSELF of whatever it is that you imagine.
I couldn't care less what these demented, egomaniacal attention-hungry pastors think or say about ANYTHING--except if it entails crossing the line about Church electioneering, and frankly, I'm baffled why anyone would be stupid enough to.
Let's face it--if this is your sides' "case" against Obama, you better just start saying "President Obama" right now so that you can get used to it.
Hey, how about McCain again getting the troop levels wrong? What's the sound that a senile old man makes?
And for the record, I don't care if Barack is a duck, or any other type of waterfowl. As long as he's not a war-mongering Republican. "

I've definitely never understood the "thrill-seeker" mentality either. Stability and reliability mean a lot more to me.

Luxury isn't something I tend to seek out either -- reasonable comfort with high performance, economy and durability so I can put my money into things which interest me more are more my style. I like aesthetics and a touch of class, which does not include motorcycles which made their way to fame with bikes designed to be particularly loud and obnoxious and ridden (in the stereotype) by leather-clad biker-types.

Sure, if I had unlimited boodles of money, I might look into something in a luxury class in cars, IF it could get better (since I'd be paying more, I'd expect more) fuel economy (or run on electricity or water with the same performance), performance and durability, but with just a certain amount of disposable income (more than I ever had before in my life), I am more picky concerning how I spend it.

I will never understand the appeal of the Harley -- some kind of testosterone thing, I think. And this from a woman who played women's pro football.

sonofmaddog -- I'd have to agree. The name-calling is a pointless waste of time. If you know you disagree with someone and you know you will never change the other person's mind, it's time to stop wasting time and energy on that person and put your energy towards something more productive. If The Citizen enforced their own policy (as stated below) of not allowing personal attacks or insults, this forum would be much higher quality. There are some sharp minds here and some good discussions mixed in with the occasionally walloping dose of Dreck.

We have NOT, in fact!
John McCain is making one gaff after another and proving that he's the same as Bush--believing exactly what he WANTS to believe about Iraq, when he's DEAD WRONG!
Yet another total embarrassment to his campaign and his pathetic attempt to portray himself as somehow "more qualified"!!!!!!!!! "

The Truth hurts, don't it, Queenie? "

There ought to be a law.....!
Now I know how a housefly feels, happily buzzing around, fresh taste of toilet bowl on his lips, looking for that next slice of decaying pizza or muffin crumb and then, BAM!...down comes the swatter!
OH! The hu-MAN-ity!!! "

" karl your atheism has turned you into a hateful person. BTW, Harleys are reliable now. They HAD a reputation years back, but now they ARE reliable. I ride Yamaha, my son rides Kawasaki, all great bikes. It is a matter of preference. 550, I think you are not up to REAL machines. "
