Brewers edge Athletics in Boys and Girls game

Emily Harding Nick Heyde, Oliva Maassen, Max Bergan and Jakob Borza all led The Printery Brewers with four hits each in a 26-25 win over Clear Vision Athletics in a Boys and Girls Baseball game Friday.
Harding had a home run on top of her four hits. Ryan Treat played well on defense in the win and even recorded a triple play.

Meg Giancotta, Lindsey Quinn, Mitch Hulik led the Athletics with three hits each. Jude Diffin, Mason Rivett and Casey Hulik made key defensive plays for the Athletics.

SANDLOT LEAGUE

Byrne Dairy 5, Mark's Pizzeria 3

Peyton Gregory led Byrne Dairy with two runs as they scored four in the bottom of the third inning. James Smith had an RBI and Shane Alexander was on the mound for Byrne.

Morgan Malone recorded an RBI double for Mark's. Tony Feocco finished with a double and Jimmy Feocco had a single.

LITTLE LEAGUE

Nucor 9, Angelo's Pizza 0

Jeff Gardner went 3-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run . Justin Valentino had a double and also split time on the mound with Gardner. Jack Hensel had a multi-hit game. Erik Baim and Christian Bozak played outstanding defense for Nucor.

Kevin DiCola, Jordan Jackson, Ryan Ringwood and Jerald Wilkes each had a hit while Patrick Rizzo made some key plays in the field.

Tom Thumb 8, Auburn Police Department 7

Billy Farrington had the winning hit for Tom Thumb in the sixth inning. Nick Mitchell tossed 5 1-3 innings and Skip Fasce went 1 2-3 innings as the two combined for eight strikeouts. Max Pinchak led the defense and also picked up three hits, as did Mitchell. Fasce doubled and singled.

Nick Covich, Brandon Noga and Max Hogan all connected for two base hits for APD while Hogan doubled.
