The Food Pantries and Soup Kitchens of Auburn and Cayuga County would like to thank the postal workers and the community at large for their generous donation of food to the Postal Food Drive “Stamp Out Hunger” held Saturday, May 10. In Auburn, we received more than 8,000 pounds of food.
Special thanks also go to the volunteers who helped sort the food and delivered it to the pantries.
We are very fortunate to have such a giving community. Our pantries are in constant need of food as our client base continues to grow every day. High food prices, high gas prices and high utilities are some of the reasons clients come to us for assistance.
Thank you again for all you do for the less fortunate in our community.
