FARMINGDALE - A man and his young daughter were trapped in a Long Island amusement ride for about 20 minutes before they were rescued by the fire department.

Officials say the two were in a virtual-reality flight simulator at Fun Zone Amusements in Farmingdale.

Both father and daughter were trapped either upside down or in a reclining position. The girl was agitated, but no one was hurt in the Monday incident. Officials say the girl is 12 or younger.
