Thunderstorms are expected to reach the Finger Lakes region by roughly 4 p.m. Monday, possibly bringing damaging winds and large hail, the National Weather Service reports.
Warm and unstable air ahead of an approaching cold front is creating the conditions for showers and thurderstorms, some that will be severe in nature.
The storms should last into the early evening hours. Overnight will bring widespread showers, with rain heavy at times. Localized rainfall could reach one to two inches.
