Senior Eric Conway pitched the Auburn baseball team to a 19-4 rout over Oswego Friday in the team's senior night. Conway tossed 5 1-3 inning, sitting 10 down on strikes, giving up five hits and allowing just one earned run.
“Conway is capable of shutting anyone out,” Maroons coach T.J. Gamba said.

At the plate, Conway had an RBI double. Anthony Siracusa and Noah Donch both led the Maroons with four hits each. Siracusa had a team-high six RBIs and three of Auburn's seven doubles. Donch had five RBIs, one double, led the team with four runs and stole a base. Eric Culver was 3-for-5 at the plate, bringing a run in to score.

“Culver hit it on the screws today,” Gamba said. “He is a perfect teammate.”

Bob Buckley joined Donch in the RBI category with five and had three hits with one of them a double. Ryan LaRue had a lone hit for a double. Mike Hutchings scored three runs off two hits and Nick Ventura was 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Auburn combined for a total of 20 hits while making no errors in the field.

“It was nice to see us play like that on senior night,” Gamba said. “They just pounded the ball. The Bucs had two of their top pitchers on the mound today and they are a playoff team too. It was a good way to end the season on such a high note.”

Auburn (15-7 overall, 11-1 league) awaits Sectional III, Class AA seeding, which will be announced Sunday.
