Sophomore Christina Dove recorded four points and became the second player in school history to score 100 points in a season but the Syracuse women's lacrosse team lost 16-8 to three-time defending national champion Northwestern in the NCAA Championship semifinal at Towson, Md. Friday.
Dove had one goal and tied a career high with three assists.
Despite the loss, the 2008 campaign was the most successful in the program's history. The Orange finish with a record of 18-3.
Megan Mosenson recorded a hat trick for Syracuse, while Kristin Brady had a pair of goals and an assist.
