A second driver has died from injuries suffered in a head-on crash in Sennett that killed a local teacher.

The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office said Leroy Walker, 73, of Syracuse, died Saturday morning at University Hospital in Syracuse.

Walker had been hospitalized in critical condition after a May 21 accident on Route 5 near Auburn.

Elbridge Elementary School second-grade teacher Nancy Rizzieri, 57, of Depot Road, Auburn, was also critically injured in the crash and died the following day.

The sheriff's office is continuing its investigation and is asking that anyone who witnessed this accident to contact detectives at 253-1610.
