The Auburn golfer Ryan May finished in a three-way tie for first place after shooting a 78 at the first round of the Section III golf tournament Thursday at Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton.
“It was a cold and rainy day,” Maroons head coach Tony Locastro said. “He played well for the conditions we had.”
Not only did May play well enough to get him a top spot, but he will also continue on to the second round on Saturday to try and make it into the top nine. The top nine at the end of Saturday's match will compete at the state championship.
