The New York State Police charged three teenagers this week for alleged connections to one or both of two separate thefts at an Elbridge business.
According to state police, approximately a dozen compound bows, an undetermined amount of cash and other archery equipment were stolen Oct. 18 from Wilwood Sports Center on Fikes Road, Elbridge. Police said the incident involved a forced entry in which an ATV was driven into the back wall of the store.

Another burglary took place Jan. 7 at the same location, during which a dozen compound bows and some petty cash were taken from the store, according to state police. Investigators said the second burglary also involved a forced entry, as the business was entered through a broken window.

Michael S. Rinaldo, 18, of 6794 Winchell Road, Warners, was arrested Tuesday, and Steven Soliday, 18, of 6384 Newport Road, Warners, was arrested Wednesday for alleged involvement in both incidents, according to investigators. Both men have been charged with two felony counts of third-degree burglary.

Derrek Terpening, 18, of 549 South Albion Road, Altmar, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of third-degree burglary. Investigators say Terpening was allegedly involved in the October incident.

Rinaldo is currently being held in Onondaga County Jail on $1,500 cash and $3,000 bond, and Terpening is being held at the same location on $10,000 cash and $20,000 bond.

Soliday was referred to pretrial release after his arraignment, state police said.

According to state police investigator Arthur Broccoli, police have recovered a total of seven bows.
