CLAYTON - State police want to know where two friends were before they died in a weekend car accident in northern New York.
Troopers say 17-year-old Jordan Houghton of Brownville and 20-year-old Maxwell Zeigler of Clayton were killed early Sunday morning when their car smashed into several trees.
Police say it appeared Houghton overcorrected his 2008 Toyota Yaris when it veered off one side of Route 11 near Clayton. The car shot across the highway and ran off the other side of the road, slamming into the trees and going airborne before rolling to a stop.
State police believe the pair may have been drinking at a house party and are looking for people with information about their whereabouts before the crash.w
