This coming Sunday, May 25, the Owasco Fire Department will hold its 21st annual Welcome in Summer Dance at Emerson Park.
The event's bands this year will be Nik and the Nice Guys and the Prison City Rockers.
The dance will be from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The proceeds from this annual fundraiser will go toward the purchase of a rescue squad.
With the community's past generous support, the department has purchased rescue tools, a thermal imaging camera, money toward two ambulances and also money toward the purchase of a heavy rescue truck.
This event helps kick off the summer season and allows the department to continue to provide excellent service to our community.
The members of the Owasco Fire Department would like to thank the community for past and future support for our events.
