The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce will formally recognize the recipients of the 2008 Small Business and Business Leader of the Year Awards on May 28.
The chamber will honor six businesses at its award luncheon slated for noon May 28 at the Springside Inn in Fleming.
Burritt's Cafe will receive the Small Business of the Year 1-5 years award; Daut's will receive the Small Business of the Year 6-14 years award; The Jacob's Press, Inc. has garnered the Small Business of the Year 15+ years award; Wegmans Food Market won the Business Leader Over 50 Employees award; and Auburn Memorial Hospital and Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center will receive the Non-Profit of the Year award.
“This is a great opportunity to celebrate ongoing contributions that our business community makes to the economic vitality of Cayuga County,” Chamber Executive Director Terri Bridenbecker said in a news release, “while also acknowledging and publicly thanking those who contribute to our quality of life by taking an active role in Cayuga County's future.”
The lunch, sponsored by Five Star Bank, will feature keynote speaker Dan Soules of Grant Avenue Development.
