The Auburn Police Department arrested two men in connection with a knife fight that sent one man to the hospital Friday afternoon.
Police charged Vyonne J. Elliott Jr., 17, of 109 Washington St., with second-degree assault and possession of a weapon after it was alleged that Elliott stabbed the victim in the arm and the leg during a fight at 2 p.m. near the intersection of Seymour and Holley streets.
Police also charged Corey A. Allen, 20, of 165 Cottage St., of attempted assault and possession of a weapon after Allen was accused of attempting to stab the victim with a knife.
Police said the victim had two friends with him when the fight started but they were not seriously injured during the altercation.
The victim received 20 stitches on his arm and four stitches on his leg when he was treated and released from Auburn Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
City police are also investigating a second fight that occurred on Court Street Sunday night that sent one man to AMH with at least one non-life threatening stab wound to his lower body.
Police said they would finish interviewing the victim and witnesses before an arrest would be made.
