Bowler of year scores needed
Women bowlers should make sure their league secretaries submit scores for Bowler of the Year consideration.

End of the year histories can be submitted either by the secretary or the bowler for calculation of points.

The newly created award will be presented at the Hall of Fame dinner next season.

USBC Association meeting May 16

The Auburn USBC Association Members meeting will be 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Falcon Lanes.

All sanctioned bowlers in Auburn are invited to attend.

Quest for state title begins soon

The 83rd New York State Championships will run until June 8 at Flamingo Bowl in Liverpool.

Squads are scheduled Saturdays (11 a.m. and 3 p.m.) and Sundays (9 a.m. and 1 p.m.). A 7:30 p.m. shift rolls April 12. The event consists of team ($175), doubles ($70) and singles ($35). Entry into all-events costs $10.

Interested bowlers may call the Syracuse USBC Bowling Association tournament office at 488-3761 for more information.

Golf/bowling tourney May 3-4

The second annual USBC Golf/Bowling Tournament will be May 3-4. The event, open to men and women, begins 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at Starlite Lanes.

Two-person teams will bowl three games in a best-ball format.

Play continues noon Sunday, May 4, for a shotgun start at Lakeview Golf and Country Club.

The two-person scramble will include cart, a skins game and a dinner after the competition.

The cost is $160 per team.

One player on each team must be a member in good standing with the USBC.
