Republican Utica businessman Richard Hanna will be in Auburn Friday to talk about his intention to run for the 24th Congressional District seat currently held by Democratic freshman Congressman Michael Arcuri.
A news release issued Wednesday said that Hanna would announce his intention to run Thursday morning in Utica and Thursday afternoon in Binghamton. He is also expected to be at the former Bombardier facility on Orchard Street in Auburn at noon Friday.
Hanna, the nephew of former Utica Mayor Edward Hanna, formed an exploratory committee in November but has not formally announced his intentions until now.
